Rose has painted the country where she was born, Tjaliawan (Old Balgo). The orange forms represent the hills and the dotting lines surrounding them depict the forms of the landscape around the country. Rose’s morther, artist Ningie Nanala, travelled through this country as a young woman living in the desert.
