Ningie has painted some of her country, Lirrawati, where she spent her younger years. Among the red and tali (sand hills) is a karru (creek) leading to the tjurnu (waterhole). Surrounding the tjurnu is an abundance of mangari (bush food) including piriwa (wattle from the cork tree) and mangarta (quandong).
